Fishery Rules

The rules we have in place are important for the welfare of our fishery, there are no second chances or warnings. If any member of your party breaks the rules we reserve the right to terminate your carp fishing holiday for the whole group with no compensation or refund given.


  1. Vehicles may not be driven around the lake without prior arrangement. They must park in designated areas only. Carp barrows are provided.
  2. No lead core, braided mainline, or leaders are to be used under any circumstances except for markers and/or spod rods. RIGS WILL BE CHECKED.
  3. Maximum of three rods per angler.
  4. No nuts or particles are allowed, boilie and pellet only.
  5. No carp are to be retained, all fish must be returned to the water as quickly as possible.
  6. No fires or unsupported BBQs under any circumstances.
  7. No bent hook rigs of any kind are to be used. All rigs must be of a fish safe design.
  8. Please drink responsibly accidents that happen under the influence of alcohol are not covered by French public liability insurance.
  9. All unhooking mats, weigh slings, and landing nets are supplied for your stay. Please do not bring your own.
  10. Anglers must fish from designated swims only, please see the lake map if unsure.
  11. No boats or any type of inflatables are allowed, bait boats may be used sensibly.
  12. All rubbish is to be taken away, there are recycling bins within a short drive in both directions
  13. All fish over 45lb MUST be photographed in the water. Please bring waders with you.
  14. No dogs allowed without prior arrangement.
  15. No sleeping or cooking in the lodge without prior arrangement.
  16. All members of the group must be registered on our website and upload any fish caught to the catch reports page of our website.
