The two most popular driving routes to the lake are either Dover to Calais or Portsmouth to Caen, The Calais ferry port is one of the most popular and cost-effective entry points to France with several ferry arrivals and departures every hour.
The Caen ferry port in Ouistreham is located 15km north of Caen with three crossings a day but a much shorter onward journey to the lake, there is also an overnight crossing with cabins that allow you to arrive refreshed and ready to go.
Flying to us is easy, Limoges airport is just 27km away from the lake with direct flights daily from most UK airports, for example, Ryanair flies from Stansted which takes around 1hr 20 into Limoges, and EasyJet from Gatwick.
